As 2024 comes to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on the impact you have helped us make on Crohn’s disease research:
-
Thanks to you, our generous donors, we awarded a $100,000 grant to Promakhos Therapeutics. Their team is focusing on what they believe to be faulty innate immune signaling in Crohn’s patients AND developing a NON-IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE oral drug to resolve it!
-
You also helped us support the Mark M. Davis Lab at Stanford University, where researchers have recently completed a study on specific T-cell receptors and human leukocyte antigens at play in Crohn’s disease. We anticipate this study will soon be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal.
-
We continue to bring you insightful video interviews with those on the front lines of Crohn’s disease research. This past year we hosted Dr. Jean-Frederic Colombel from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Dr. James Lee from the Francis Crick Institute, and Dr. Ben Woolston and Justin Hayes from Northeastern University’s Woolston Lab; watch for new interviews coming in 2025!
-
Propel a Cure continued its organizational partnerships with Nutritional Therapy for IBD and Rare Patient Voice.
-
Propel a Cure strives to be your eyes and ears on the latest Crohn’s disease studies by providing easily digestible summaries via our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn), and our quarterly e-newsletter.
| ON THE HORIZON IN 2025 |
Exciting news! Propel a Cure is on the cusp of helping another lab launch a cutting-edge study in 2025 to find answers, but we need your help to get there. In return we pledge that more than 98% of your donation will go directly to research and that you’ll receive regular updates on the research you’re supporting.
As 2024 ends, please consider a tax-deductible gift to Propel a Cure. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit run by patients and family members FOR patients, family members, and friends.
Thank you for your support.
